Our Family Story

For us, hospitality has always been a family affair. Our story spans three generations, going back to the early days of working the front desk at the Surf Hotel (sometimes earning our keep in large cheese pizzas). While a lot has changed since then, our core values have remained the same: treating people like family, creating places where everyone feels welcome, and giving back to the communities around us.

Evergreen Hospitality Group officially began in 2011 with the purchase of the 401 Inn, located at Boundary Road and Grandview Highway. What started with just 30 rooms in Burnaby has grown into a collection of over 1,000 rooms across the Lower Mainland, Sunshine Coast, and Vancouver Island.

Today, our properties offer guests a welcoming home base in some of British Columbia’s most scenic destinations, with local attractions, vibrant communities, and breathtaking natural landscapes. We’re proud to live in BC home and love sharing all that this remarkable province has to offer. Wherever your travels take you, we look forward to welcoming you to Evergreen.

At the heart of it all is a deep gratitude for the opportunity to call Canada our home.
